We believe in feeding a nutritionally sound, biologically appropriate raw diet (The BARF Diet). Our dogs thrive on a carefully curated raw diet, tailored for optimal health and performance.

Variety of raw dog food

In order to adopt a puppy from us, you must keep the puppy on a raw diet for AT LEAST the first 6 MONTHS of their life. Our puppies start with a combination of Albright's raw pre-made puppy meals and home prepared meals right after weaning. You will be sent home with some of these meals, as well as having the option of purchasing additional Albright's puppy chubbs at time of puppy pickup. Albright's Raw Dog Food makes it easy and affordable to feed a biologically appropriate raw diet without the hassle and confusion that has been linked to feeding raw. They make it so simple to ensure variety and sound nutrition in our dog's meals by offering a large selection of options for diversity. The results speak for themselves. If you have a dog or have gotten a dog from us in the past and are not currently feeding raw, check them out!!! They are Exact Classic Pup approved!

We switch our puppies straight to a raw diet once weaned from mom. The raw feeding guideline for a two-month-old puppy is feed 10% of their body weight daily, split into three or four meals a day.
From four to six months old a puppy's feeding regimen changes to feeding 5-7% of their body weight split into two meals a day.
For puppies six months old to a year, feed 3-5% of their body weight split into two meals a day.
Once your puppy reaches adulthood, you will feed 2% of their body weight twice a day to maintain their healthy weight.

Whatever its age, your Bulldog should have fresh water available at all times. Feeding a raw diet, your Bulldog will naturally drink less water than a dog on a kibble diet due to the Bulldog being fed a meal that contains a lot of moisture compared to any brand of kibble that's had any trace of moisture sucked out.

It is not usually necessary to add supplements to a balanced raw diet, but at times, your dog may be missing something. Using a good supplement brand to "supplement" is a good thing to have on hand. Never use a supplement longer than 30 days without giving it a break. Supplements aren't designed as a fix all or to use long-term.

Raw Dog Food and Supplements for Dogs

Four Leaf Rover is a great company for supplements. "Better Bones" and "colostrum" are highly recommended for growing puppies since the Bulldog must grow a lot of heavy bone in a short time. Gussy's Gut Daily helps to keep the digestive system working well. (Use code EXACTBULLDOGS to receive a discount at checkout). We also have their product, Youthful Grasses and Sprouts available for purchase at time of puppy pickup. Oil helps to keep the coat and skin in good condition. Coconut Oil is a great choice.
